Ari Shaffir is an American comedian, actor, podcaster, writer, producer, and social media personality. Many people recognized him for being the producer and host of his own ‘Skeptic Tank’ podcast, dating back to 2011. However, he rose to fame for his ‘The Amazing Racist’ viral video series.
Additionally, he has collaborated with Joe Rogan, Duncan Trussell, Eddie Bravo and Joey Diaz as the opening act for Rogan’s podcast in the late 2000s. He also released his first stand-up album ‘Revenge for the Holocaust’ in 2012. Also, he is not a controversial person, but he did respond with a backlash for the death of Kobe Bryant Tweets .

The multi-talented personality was born on February 12, 1974 in New York City, New York, United States. He was born as the second child to parents Nat and Merryl Shaffir. After his birth, his parents moved to North Carolina from New York and then Maryland. He grew up with his three brothers in a conservative Jewish tradition. Also, his father and his grandmother were Holocaust survivors.
Regarding his education, he attended high school in Rockville, Maryland. Before attending Yeshiva University in New York City, she studied sacred texts at a yeshiva for two years in Israel. In her sophomore year, she transferred to the University of Maryland. From there she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English literature in 1999. During her time at Yeshiva University, she played on the university’s NCAA golf team.

After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles for a chance to make it as a stand-up comedian. He then started out as a comedian in his twenties at an open mic night at a “sports comedy venue in Northern Virginia.” The four and a half years after becoming a regularly paid artist. He began performing at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles in 2012, as well as in clubs in New York. After that, he appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,’ and was inspired by comedian Bill Burr.
In 2011, he started his podcasting career with his own show ‘ Skeptic Tank’ which has a YouTube channel under his name. The channel has a subscriber of 35.8k and more than 1.15 million views. After that, in 2013, he started co-hosting another podcast ‘Punch Drunk Sorts’ along with Sam Tripoli and Jayson Thibault. However, he did garner exposure thanks to his viral series ‘The Amazing Racist’.
After gaining a successful career as a stand-up comedian, he went on to try his hand at acting. Therefore, he appeared in the Greg Mottola directed action comedy ‘Keeping Up With the Joneses’. He also worked on some screen projects like 2004’s ‘The Fax’ and 2005’s ‘Reeling in Reality’, 2012 series ‘Minding the Store’.
