2023: Buhari To Lead Tinubu, Shettima, Others To Adamawa For Presidential Rally

Ekiti State was on Tuesday honoured with the visit of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

Naija News understands that Tinubu visited the state capital, Ado-Ekiti today alongside thirteen governors elected on the APC platform to drum support for the party’s governorship candidate, Biodun Oyebanji ahead of Saturday’s poll in the state.

In attendance at the campaign are the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai; Governor Umaru Zulum (Borno); Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara); Gov. Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa State) and Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State.

Also present were Gov. Simon Lalong (Plateau); Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa); Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos State); Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo State); Gov. Umar Ganduje (Kano State); Gov. Inuwa Yahaya, (Gombe State); Gov. Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Gov. Kayode Fayemi, the host governor.

Naija News understands that the grand finale campaign of the APC was held at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti. The party also at the event, presented the APC flag to Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Mojisola Afuye.

Meanwhile, APC Northern Governors have begun a marathon meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari to decide the running mate of the party’s presidential flag bearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 election.

According to National Daily Newspaper, there are reportedly two lists comprising serving governors, a former UN chief, former presidential aide and ministers.

The governors alone are not responsible for determining the Vice presidency the party’s cabal also has a list. Also, the CPC faction of the party are insisting on Justice Minister Abubakar Malami and Aviation Minister Hadi Sirika.

Another report from Daily Trust has also indicated that the cabal has drawn up a list for Tinubu.
