Tyler Herro is an American professional basketball player for the Miami Heat team in the NBA. Before that, he started playing basketball from high school and then for college. He finished his college career with 29 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field and 6 free throws in February 2019. Additionally, he played college basketball for one year with the Kentucky Wildcats.
Also, the Miami Heat selected him in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft with the 13th overall pick. In 2020, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. Additionally, he became the youngest player to start an NBA Finals game at 20 years, 256 days and eight days younger than Magic Johnson. Additionally, in 2022, he was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year.

Tyler Herro: biography, family and career
The basketball player was born on January 20, 2000 Greenfield, Wisconsin, USA. He was born as the son of his parents Jen and Chris Herro. Furthermore, it is reported that he bought a Gucci bag for his mother after his first contract with NBL. He has two younger brothers, Austin and Myles, who also play basketball. He has American nationality and belongs to the white Caucasian ethnicity.
Regarding his education, he joined Whitnall High School in Greenfield, Wisconsin where he joined the school’s basketball team. In his senior year, he was named to the All-State First Team as he averaged 32.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. After that, he joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison, however, he graduated from other universities, including DePaul University and Arizona State University.
He later chose to play for Kentucky and signed a letter of intent on November 14, 2017. The player finished his college career with 29 points, making 9 of 10 field goals and 6 free throws in February 2019. He declared for the Draft of the 2019 NBA in his final years of college eligibility.
The Miami Heat selected him with the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft on June 20, 2019. On July 10, 2019, they signed Herro and he made his NBA debut on October 23, 2019 against the Miami Heat. Memphis Grizzlies winning with a 120-101 victory. In September 2020, he became the first player in NBA history born in the 2000s to appear in the NBA Conference Finals game.
