Tim Story is an American film director, producer, and writer. The director is known for making several successful films such as ‘Fantastic Four (2005)’ and the ‘Ride Along’ film franchises starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. Furthermore, in his career as a director, the seven feature films directed by him have grossed a total of approximately $1.1 billion worldwide as of 2016.
In addition, he has also directed segments of the Kevin Hart concert films Laugh at My Pain, Let Me Explain, and What Now? The film director was born on March 13, 1970 in Los Angeles, United States of America. He has not revealed any information about his parents or siblings. He has attended Westchester High School in Los Angeles. During his high school days, he was class president at Westchester High. He graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 1991.
Before pursuing a film career, he attempted to make his career as a musician during his high school days. After his graduation, he along with his wife Vicky de he founded the entertainment production company called The Story Company in 1996. He also briefly worked as an editor on several films. His projects include 2002’s ‘Barbershop’, 2004’s ‘Taxi’, 2012’s ‘Think Like a Man’ and 2019’s ‘Shaft’, many more.
He has directed many music videos, including Ghetto Mafia’s 1997 ‘I Can’t Feel It (Remix),’ Playa’s 1998 ‘Cheers 2 U’, Jon B. feat. 2Pac ‘Are U Still Down’, 1999 Ideal ‘Get Gone’, 1999 Tyrese’s ‘Lately’, 2000 The LOX ‘Wild Out’ and 2001 India. Arie ‘Brown Skin’, among many more.
