BIOGRAPHY
Born in New York, Olivia Wilde grew up in Washington DC with her two journalist parents. She was educated at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, where she studied acting and directed around twenty school productions. Continuing in this vein, she moved to Dublin with a view to enrolling at the Gaiety School of Acting.

At the end of her studies, Olivia Wilde moved to Los Angeles and worked in a casting agency. It was in 2004 that she obtained a small role in the comedy Girl Next Door and played in 13 episodes of the series Newport Beach . At the same time, she appears in two independent films: we first surprise her as a liberated young girl with Emile Hirsch in Alpha Dog by Nick Cassavetes and in the more demure outfit of a bridesmaid in Conversation ( s) with a wife by Hans Canosa .

It was only in 2008 that the young actress revealed herself to the general public when she joined the cast of the most watched series in the world: Dr House . She plays number 13, a young intern (real name Remy Hadley) with a mysterious appearance. Indeed, at the start of season 4, she attracts the curiosity of the other characters who wonder if she inherited Huntington’s disease from her mother, or if she is bisexual. The same year, Olivia Wilde embarked on a road trip , entitled Fix and imagined by her companion, Tao Ruspoli .

Change of direction in 2010 since she is starring in Paul Haggis ‘ new film , The Next Three Days alongside Russell Crowe and Legacy of Tron , the sequel to the great science fiction classic of the 1980s. She goes on to appear in several genres. Among the latter: the thriller ( Murdering Madness , Cold Blood ), the action ( Cowboys and Invaders , Time Out ), the comedy ( Standard Exchange , The Pickler Family , Drinking Buddies , An Ordinary Week , Christmas at the Coopers ), the biopic ( Rush ) or even horror ( Lazarus Effect ).

At the same time, Olivia Wilde found notable roles in the series Doll & Em (2015), Vinyl (2016) and BoJack Horseman (2014 – 2020). Not forgetting the cinema, the actress plays, in Vigilante, a former battered woman turned vigilante. She then tasted romance with Seule la vie… then starred under the leadership of Clint Eastwood in The Case of Richard Jewell . In 2022, she directs her second feature film (after the little-known Booksmart , released in 2019), the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling , directed by Florence Pugh .
