Nicholas Clayton Mullens was born on March 21, 1995 in Little Rock, Arkansas. His nationality is American while his ethnicity is Caucasian. Mullens spent his formative years in Hoover, Alabama and attended Spain Park High School. In high school, he was a multi-athlete, participating in American football and baseball. However, he shone best on the football field; In his senior year alone, he recorded an exceptional 3,649 yards, 40 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Nick Mullens went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft and subsequently joined the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad. The 49ers already had three reliable quarterbacks and the Alabama native had to settle for the fourth quarterback. However, he was not discouraged by this fact and instead worked hard even if he had no hope of a game. In November 2018, Nick Mullens smiled as the other quarterbacks sustained various injuries. He was named the starting quarterback for the ninth game of Week 49 against the Oakland Raiders. Mullens made his NFL debut on November 1, 2018 and gave a memorable performance. He completed 22 passes for 262 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions, leading his team to a 34-3 victory. His amazing debut got him a congratulatory call from Brett Favre. Her parents are Kiley and Kellie Hughes and she has two brothers, one of whom is named Layton. Hughes received her diploma from Ocean Springs High School before transferring to the University of Southern Mississippi for her college degree. During her college years, she was a well-rounded student, as not only did she have a healthy GP, but she also excelled at cheerleading. She graduated in 2016 and has since pursued a career as an elementary school teacher.
Mullens met his wife when they were both students at Southern Miss. They began dating in 2015 and tied the knot two years later in July 2017.
