Nancy Kulpe was an American actress best known for her role as Miss Jane Hathaway on The Beverly Hillbillies, a CBS television sitcom. She is also known for her role as May Hopkins on the television series Sanford and Son. For her incredible performance, she received a Primetime Emmy Award.

Kulp left the University of Miami in 1944 to join the women’s section of the United States Naval Reserve. Later, she was promoted to lieutenant and received the American Campaign Medal, among other things. In 1946, she was honorably discharged from the Reserve.

In 1954, Kulp appeared as Daisy in the American anthology television series Lux Video Theatre. From 1955 to 1959, she appeared as Pamela Livingston on The Bob Cummings Show. In 1979, she co-starred in the crime drama series CHiPs with Larry Wilcox and Clarence Gilyard.

The Death of Nancy Kulp

Nancy Kulp was diagnosed with cancer and underwent chemotherapy in 1990. She was in the last stages of cancer. She died on February 3, 1991 in Palm Desert, California, at the age of 69. Her ashes are also placed in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. We can only hope that her soul rests in peace.
