BIOGRAPHY
Motivated by his dream of becoming an actor, Linden Ashby abandoned his studies in psychology to settle in New York, where he began drama classes. After a few appearances in successful series like MacGyver , the producers of Melrose Place , having first hired him for an extra during the first season, called on him again to play a more important character. His return in season 6 is in the guise of Dr. Brett Cooper, the lover of the deceased Kimberly Shaw, determined to avenge his beloved and strip Lexi Sterling of her fortune.

It is as Johnny Cage, the hero of Mortal Kombat , that he stands out in the cinema. Initially assigned to Brandon Lee before the latter died, the role allows the actor to highlight his physical abilities. While he has been practicing karate, Kung Fu and Tae Kwen Do since the age of 21, Linden redoubles his intensive training to brilliantly embody this martial arts champion.

Once again, his fighting strength is showcased in Blast , playing a former Tae Kwon Do professional who must save the U.S. Olympic swim team from a hostage situation. Confined for a long time to action man roles, Linden appears in blockbusters like Iron Man 3 and Resident Evil: Extinction , alongside Milla Jovovich .

At the same time, his attractive physique offers him several opportunities to get noticed in the most famous soap operas such as The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives . It was in his early days that he met on the set of the soap opera Amoureux Vous , the woman who would become his wife in 1986, the actress Susan Walters . On several occasions, the couple shared the screen in numerous television films and series including Melrose Place, The War Next Door , Spy Games , American Wives and even Teen Wolf . The MTV teen show brings a second wind to his career. The actor plays Noah Stilinski, the devoted sheriff of Beacon Hills and father of Stiles ( Dylan O’Brien ), whose best friend, Scott ( Tyler Posey ), is a werewolf. From season 3, opening his eyes to the supernatural universe that surrounds him, the sheriff acts as both guide and protector for his son and Scott’s pack.
