It was in Brookfield, Connecticut, on April 28, 1967, the actress was born Kari Samantha Wuhrer. She was welcomed into the family of Karin, an accountant and German American police officer and car salesman, Andrew Wuhrer. Kari grew up with her three siblings; Christopher, Scott and Kim. Her nationality is American and she is of white ethnicity.
She became interested in show business at a tender age being born into the line of performers. Her father and grandfather played the piano and her grandmother was a jazz singer. She sneaked out of the family home to sing in nightclubs as a teenager.

Kari was well prepared and educated for her future career in the entertainment industry. From the age of 13, she studied acting at the Wooster School of Dramatic Arts. She also underwent further training in New York and London at these institutes:

Career
She signed with the talent division of the teenage girl, the world-renowned Ford Model Agency, occasionally playing with a tough punk band called Freudian Slip. Her agency helped her land a few roles in commercials.
Her first film appearance was in the 1986 film, Fire with Fire where she portrayed Gloria. She got her break into television when she worked for two seasons on MTV’s popular game show, Remote Control, before later becoming a VJ on the channel.
Kari appeared regularly in television series in the 90s, including Chose De Marais (1991-1992), Class of 96 (1993), Sliders (1997-2000). His appearances include The Marshal (1995), Have and Hold (1998). His recent works include CSI: Miami (2006), Influence (2010).
She portrayed Ariel Hunter in a prime time soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210 (1994-1995). Kari Wuhrer joined the cast of the daytime soap opera General Hospital as FBI Reese Marshall from February 3 to November 2005. Her role ended after her character died from injuries sustained in a train wreck.
Contrary to the reason for her exit duKari announced in January 2006 that she was suing General Hospital. On what grounds? She claimed to have been fired because of her pregnancy. However, the case was resolved in December 2006.
Her film credits include The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990), Higher Education (1995), Thinner (1996), Anaconda (1997), Kissing an Idiot (1998), Kate’s Addiction (1999), Berserker (2004), Freaks on eight legs (2002), The air I breathe (2007).
For her role in Do It For Uncle Manny (2001), she won the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in the Best Actress category.

Kari proved her talent as a singer with the release of her debut album, Brilliant in 1999. She signed a recording contract with impresario Rick Rubin and her album was released by Del-Fi Records. The singer not only used her vocals in the project, but she also tripled as a songwriter, writing most of the songs and playing instrumental. She played guitar and flute on several tracks.
Brillant became her only album as she has not recorded any other since. We anticipate more of her should she venture into this arena again.
