Juan Manuel Bernal is a Mexican film and television actor. He was born on December 22, 1967 in Mexico City and was interested in acting from a young age. He originally planned to study accounting at the National Polytechnic Institute, but he abandoned the degree to dedicate himself to what he was passionate about: acting. He entered the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where he completed his studies.

He made his television debut in 1994 in the soap opera Más Beyond the Bridge and was followed by Lazos de amor (1995), Alondra (1995) and Te Sigo Amando (1996 to 1997).

In 1994 he appeared in his first film: Hasta muerte by Fernando Sariñana. This was followed, among others, The Alley of Miracles (1995), Anywhere in the World (1995), High Tension (1997) and Cilantro y parejil (1998) for which he was nominated for the Ariel for Best Actor. Since then he has participated in more than 20 productions, including The Blue Room (2002), Cansada de besar sapos (2006) and Cuatro lunas (2013).
