Jessica Rothenberg was born on May 28, 1987 in Denver, Colorado, United States. Rothe attended Cheery Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
After graduating from high school, she gained entry to Boston University where she studied for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her great interest in the performing arts and the art world in general led her to learn tap dancing, pottery making and playing the violin while attending Boston University.
She graduated from Boston University in 2009 andalmost immediately. she began her career as a professional actress. Jessica Rother started out on the small screen and made her debut in a small role in a 2010 episode of Most Wanted Americans: America Strikes Back titled The Pink Panthers
Her next small-screen role was as Katie Clements in two episodes of The Onion News Network – a parody newscast airing on the Independent Film Channel.
Then, in 2013, Jessica Rothe made her film debut in The Last Keepers. Earlier that year, she took part in the short film, Promised Land. She bolstered her filmography further in 2013, adding the films; The Last Guardians, where she portrayed Jessica; on Hot Flashes, where she played Millie Rash, Young Bastards and Jack, Jules, Esther and Me. For all of these roles, Jessica was given the full name of Jessica Rothenberg.
Rother was not unaware of television, despite her increased activity in films – she had booked roles in series like Blue Bloods, Future Estates and High Maintenance. 2014 flew for Rothe as she managed to book just a few gigs – maybe she was taking a break from a busy year?
