BIOGRAPHY
Born to a mother who was a nurse and a father who worked in the legal field, Jeremy Strong developed a passion for theater at a very young age. Once he graduated from high school, he attended the prestigious Yale University, where he starred in several plays and obtained a degree in English.

Wanting to continue on this path, he went through the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago. In the 2000s, the actor played in the plays Haroun and the Sea of Stories , Defiance , New Jerusalem and A Man for All Seasons (which marked his Broadway debut).

Also casting for films, Jeremy Strong found his first role in the comedy-drama Humboldt County in 2008, that of a jaded medical student spending a summer in a farming community… He was then chosen to play several secondary characters in major productions.

He rubs shoulders with big names, such as Mark Wahlberg ( Phenomena ), Ben Foster ( The Messenger ), Daniel Day-Lewis ( Lincoln ), Robert Downey Jr. ( The Judge ), Ryan Gosling ( The Big Short ), Jessica Chastain ( The Great Game ), Matthew McConaughey ( Serenity and The Gentlemen ) or Joseph Gordon-Levitt ( The Chicago Seven ).

In parallel with his career on the big screen and on the stage, the Boston native stands out in series, as evidenced by his performances in The Good Wife , Mob City and Masters of Sex , where he plays the benevolent doctor Art Dreesen . But it is his character in Succession (since 2018) which reveals him to a wider audience.

In this brilliant series centered on a wealthy media family in New York, Jeremy Strong plays Kendall Roy, second son of the ruthless patriarch Brian Cox . This high-ranking executive at war with his father and prey to his drug and alcohol addictions earned him the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

To reinforce the quality of his performance, the actor put himself through the same ordeals as those his character went through. With this in mind, he did not hesitate, during the filming of the third season, to break all contact with the rest of the cast, refusing scene rehearsals and insisting not to meet any of his partners…

We will soon see Jeremy Strong alongside Bradley Cooper in Maestro , a Netflix musical biopic dedicated to Leonard Bernstein , legendary composer of West Side Story and On the Waterfront . He will also star in James Gray ‘s Armageddon Time , set in 1980s Queens, with Anne Hathaway and Anthony Hopkins .
