Born in San Francisco, Sami was born Carter-Oberstone on October 1, 1997 in California. She is ethnically mixed as she is of African American, French, Cuban and Russian heritage. Growing up Sami didn’t really have that feminine touch, this was partly due to being raised by a single father which influenced her personal style. The stylist, designer and social media influencer has had a passion for fashion since her school days.
Sami, who comes from an academic and business-minded family, studied Marketing at Santa Clara University before earning a Masters in Global Entrepreneurship from the University of San Francisco. After graduating, Miro got a job at a tech company, where she worked in a marketing role for the tech startup. But after about four years she dropped it to follow her passion in the creative fields.
