BIOGRAPHY
At the age of 2, Gillian Anderson arrived in London with her parents from Michigan. She spent her primary education at Coleridge Primary School in Crouch End in the north of the English capital. Eleven years later, the actress returned to live with her loved ones in Michigan and saw her family grow with the births of a little brother and a little sister. A student at City High School in Grand Rapids, Gillian auditions for a role in a school play. The passion she discovers for comedy sweeps away her original ambitions: to become a marine biologist or an archaeologist.

After high school in 1986, Gillian chose to attend DePaul University in Chicago, specializing in theater. At 22, with solid theater training and a fine arts degree, she set out to conquer New York to become an actress in her own right.

In 1990, she landed her first major role in the Broadway play Absent Friends and her performance earned her a Theater World Award. At the same time, she participated in the play The Philanthropist . Nevertheless, Anderson chose to leave New York for Los Angeles, with the hope of finding a place in the 7th art. Disillusionment is there. At the end of 1992, she only got a brief role in the feature film The Turning which ended in a huge flop. Certainly, she is not discouraged and thinks she will find salvation in television.

After a brief stint on a television show called Promo 96 , she auditioned for the role of Agent Dana Scully, a key character in the upcoming Fox series… X-Files .
