BIOGRAPHY
Passionate about cinema from an early age, Daryl Hannah made her screen debut in 1978, while she was still in high school, in Brian De Palma ‘s Fury . After studying theater at the University of Southern California, the budding actress continued her path and in 1981 played Kim Basinger ‘s little sister in Hard Country and an unlucky camper in the horror film The Final Terror . But it was her interpretation of Pris, a punk android from Ridley Scott ‘s Blade Runner , who really revealed her to the general public the following year. Continuing her rise, in 1984 the American landed the role that will probably remain the most memorable of her career: that of Madison, the mermaid who falls in love with Tom Hanks in Splash . From then on, Daryl Hannah became an emblematic star of the 1980s and all of Hollywood was eager for him. The public then finds her notably as the girlfriend of Bud Fox ( Charlie Sheen ), in Wall Street (1987), as the object of the affection of a modern-day Cyrano played by Steve Martin in Roxanne (1987), as a ghost in High Spirits (1988), or even as a brainless hairdresser in Gossip of Women (1989). The 1990s were less prosperous for the beautiful actress, who was then more publicized for her relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr. than for her work. Hannah, who has a series of TV films and supporting roles in comedies, still appears in the credits of the feature film The Grumpy in 1993 (and its sequel , two years later) and the thriller The Gingerbread Man in 1998, which allows it to be directed by Robert Altman . But it was not until 2002 that she really made a name for herself again, thanks to a remarkable performance as a stripper in Dancing at the Blue Iguana , which did not leave spectators indifferent. After playing Shane West ‘s mother in the romance Autumn Time , adapted from the novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks , Daryl Hannah was chosen by Quentin Tarantino in 2003 to play the chilling Elle Driver, a hitwoman belonging to the International Detachment murderous vipers, in the two parts of Kill Bill , opposite Uma Thurman

. However, this return to the forefront did not offer the hoped-for second wind to the actress, who then appeared in numerous productions ( Storm , Sharks – Army of the Deep , Kung Fu Killer , Zombie Night ) which did not do not mark memories.

In 2015, Hannah, who also co-starred in I Am Michael with James Franco and Zachary Quinto , finally found a new role suited to her in the Netflix original series Sense8 , created by Andy and Lana Wachowski , to whom we owe the Matrix trilogy , and J. Michael Straczynski . Alongside Naveen Andrews and Brian J. Smith , she lends her features to Angelica Turing, known as “Angel”, the “mother” of the eight heroes who suddenly find themselves emotionally connected.
