When it comes to Storage Wars, DarrellSheets is one of the series’ WOW factors. Popularly known as The Gambler, he has been on the reality series since its first season and is highly regarded for his daring in taking very big risks, which paid off like with a letter written by the one of the greatest presidents, Abraham Lincoln and drawings by the Spanish painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso.

Biography of Darrell Sheets

Sheets was born in Covina, California, USA on May 13, 1958. There is, however, no information on how he was raised or even his upbringing.

Nonetheless, the player became part of the Storage Wars series that made him famous in December 2010 when the show started. He has been one of the main cast members of the show since his debut as a buyer. Apart from him, the only characters in the show who have been main characters since its first season are Dan and Laura Dotson, known as American Auctioneers, and Jarrod Schulz and Brandi Passante, known as The Young Guns, also buyers. ..

On the A&E Network reality series, he came to be a very significant force. In 2012, he found the biggest payout in the show’s history when he typically gambled $3,600 on a storage locker. When it finally opened, it discovered original art by Frank Guttierez which experts estimate should cost nearly $300,000.

As the storage auction veteran later revealed, the locker belonged to Guttierez, whom he was later able to contact. According to him, he returned most of the things in the locker to her.

Although, like most other reality TV shows, there are many who claim that the series is scripted. It gets worse for Storage Wars when Dave Hester sues A&E and Original Productions, insisting that parts of the show were staged. However, the show weathered the storm and Hester then found her way back to the show.

In March 2019, the Storage Wars star suffered a mild heart attack which led to surgery. He shared on his Instagram account that after suffering from health issues for three months, his heart started to fail which led to congestive heart failure surgery.

Wife, divorce and children

For someone who proved in Storage Wars that he’s not just a word player, but Darrell Sheets won’t play with his family. It’s the one thing he puts above all the rest. That said, he has managed to keep many details about his family out of the public eye.

However, it is known that he married once in the past and the marriage ended in divorce. What is still missing from the public domain is the name of his ex-wife.

He was previously in a relationship with KimberWuerfel whom he met in a rather interesting way. The first time he saw her was on the road when they were both driving in California. Darrell and Kimber exchanged looks through their car windows. Immediately, Sheets decided he wanted the woman, so he followed her car before taping a piece of paper with her phone number to the car window.

The couple dated for a while and even decided they wanted to share their life with an engagement. But then it’s not because the engagement was called off and the relationship ended.

The next woman he will meet would be Romney Snyder who is now his fiancé. He announced his engagement to the new woman in his life in 2016 while at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Romney works for a nonprofit that protects horses from slaughter auctions known as HiCaliber Horse Rescue.

Darrell Sheets has a son, Brandon Sheets, who has now joined him on Storage Wars. When he was in a relationship with Kimbra, he adopted her children, describing them as his own.

Net value

Darrell Sheets net worth is estimated at $4.5 million. He derives most of his fortune from the reality TV series on which he has been present for almost ten years. Thanks to his bold initiatives, he recorded many important auctions. He once found a letter allegedly written by Lincoln, sold for $15,000, some Picasso drawings and many other valuables.
