Dick Clark, famous American television host, was born Richard Wagstaff Clark on November 30, 1929 in Mount Vernon, New York. He is the son of Richard Augustus Clark and Julia Fuller Clark. Dick Clark’s father was an advertising sales manager for a milk company, while his mother was an office worker. Clark’s genealogy dates back to his paternal grandparents, John William Clark and Amelia Ruth Wagstaff Clark, who were both of English descent. On her mother’s side, her grandparents, Ernest James Fuller and Mae Belle Bullock Fuller, were both of Scottish and Irish descent. 

Dick Clark has three brothers, Brad, Allen and Marvin, all of whom have played important roles in his life and professional journey. He was married three times, first to Barbara Mallery, with whom he had two children, Richard and Duane Clark, then to Loretta Martin, without issue, and finally to Kari Wigton, with whom he adopted two children, RAC Clark and Cindy Clark. Dick Clark enjoyed an incredibly successful career in television hosting, becoming a music and entertainment icon, before passing away on April 18, 2012 at the age of 82.
