She has been described as a woman who lives and breathes politics. She started at CNN as a freelancer and 2 years after that she was hired full time. In 1995, Crowley became the national political correspondent and was the host of Domestic Politics before the show was replaced by The Situation RoomIn February 2010, the lady was named anchor of CNN’s Sunday morning news show State of the Union, a position she held until her retirement in 2014.

Over the course of her career, Candy Crowley has received numerous accolades, including the 1997 Joan Shorenstein Barone Award for her coverage of Bob Dole’s presidential campaign and the 1999 Silver Baton Award from DuPont University-Columbia for her coverage of the trial in impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
