C Thomas Howell Biography, age

American actor and film director was named Christopher Thomas Howell after his birth on December 17, 1966 in the neighborhood of Van Nuys, Los Angeles. His parents included Christopher N. and Candice Howell, who also gave birth to his brother named John Howell and two of his sisters: Stacy and Candy.

As a young child, Thomas Howell had a knack for being an actor and with the help of his father who was a bull rider, stunt coordinator and rodeo performer, he landed a role on an episode of The Brian Keith Show when he was 4 years old. Many years later, he had matured into a child stunt performer and bull rider, winning the California Junior Rodeo Association championship by age 12. At other times, young Howell would spend time with his grandfather, who would take him golfing. However, his parents would divorce and he was raised by his mother for the rest of his young life.

For school, C Thomas Howell studied at SaugusHigh School, where he graduated in 1984 before enrolling at the National Conservatory for Drama Arts. After completing his theater studies, Howell returned to rodeo, which he did for a number of years before making his film debut in 1982.

He acted as Tyler in Steven Spielberg’s ET The Extra-Terrestrial which was followed by his Ponyboy Curtis character in The Outsiders (1983). For this, the upcoming actor received the Young Artist Award for best leading actor in a feature film.

C Thomas Howell is undoubtedly one of those people who has a bright future in the film industry. The actor has many works to his name and has remained consistently active with 3 or more film and/or television work year after year. He has amassed a net worth of around $4 million for this.

Family – wife, children, divorce

In addition to his many spectacular works on screen, C. Thomas Howell was once a married man. The actor and producer was in a relationship with American actress and television personality Kyle Richards before his first marriage.

After Kyle, he met actress Rae Dawn Chong while they were filming the comedy film, Soul Man Their friendship started off smoothly and they soon met before deciding to get married. The duo had a private wedding which took place on July 11, 1989. In 1990 both left the marriage. The reason for this divorce was not disclosed.

Two years after his first marriage ended in July 25, 1992, Howell divorced then-girlfriend Sylvie Anderson. With Sylvie, they became parents to Isabelle Howell (born February 17, 1993) and Liam Howell (born April 24, 2001).

Sadly, a quarter of a century into their marriage, TMTZ reported in 2016 that the couple was divorcing. The report said Sylvie had filed for divorce, citing the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason for refusing their marriage of over two decades. Her (former) heartthrob revealed that he will always wish her the best and looks forward to what the future holds for her.

A few years have passed since it was first created and subsequently transmitted by other news sources. However, it was not announced if the divorce has been finalized or if Sylvie has withdrawn the divorce petition. To add to the abstruse outcome of Sylvie Anderson v. C Thomas Howell’s divorce, some online sources still list the two as married, despite the fact that a divorce petition was actually filed by one of the parties to the marriage.
