Organic Bokeem Woodbine

He was born on April 13, 1973 in Harlem, New York. Bokeem’s mother, an actress, became an inspiration to her son, who eventually got involved in her line of work. He attended Dalton School in Manhattan, then transferred to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, where he honed his acting skills.

Bokeem Woodbine made his debut in the 1992 film Juice directed by Ernest Dickerson. The movie starring Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps brought a lot of attention to the actor and he started playing more and more roles. In 1993 he starred in Love Off Limits. Woodbine was notable on the CBS Schoolbreak Special and caught the eye of Jaki Brown-Karman who brought the talented boy to director Forest Whitaker’s attention.

After starring in some films with Tupac Shakur, Woodbine’s friendship with the legendary musician has continued over the years; the two have done musical collaborations and also co-starred in films. He was in Tupac’s 1996 music video I’m Not Cha Crazy. The two also co-starred in the Vondie Curtis-Hall directed film Gridlock’d . However, Tupac did not live to see the film’s release.

Woodbine was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role in the medical drama series. City of Angels. He appeared in Rayon (2004) as David Fathead Newman, a saxophonist. The film is a biopic that tells the story of Ray Charles, the legendary musician. Woodbine has appeared in numerous films and television series. He guest-starred in two episodes of Blade: The Series. He also appeared in the musical drama, A Day in the Life which also starred Omar Epps.

He starred in Black Dynamite in 2009 and the following year starred in the thriller Devil. He was cast in the Marvel Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) studio as one of four villains. In 2018, he starred as Agent Daryn Dupree in the series, Unresolved
