BIOGRAPHY
Awkwafina, real name Nora Lum, is an American musician, rapper and actress. Of Chinese and South Korean descent, she grew up in Queens, New York; she studied at LaGuardia High School where she learned to play jazz, classical music and the trumpet.

The artist pursued journalism studies at the University of Albany before packing his bags for Beijing to learn Mandarin at the Beijing Language and Culture University. She published her first album, Yellow Ranger , in 2014. In parallel with her career in music, the young woman also made her debut in cinema.

She can notably be seen in the comedy Our Worst Neighbors 2 and in TV series like Mary + Jane or Future Man . She also gives voice in the animated film Cigognes et Compagnie . In 2018, Awkwafina starred in Ocean’s 8 . She plays the robber Constance alongside Cate Blanchett , Sandra Bullock and Rihanna .

Continuing her momentum, the New York native starred in Crazy Rich Asians , Jumanji: Next Level and especially The Farewell , for which she received the Golden Globe for best actress for a musical film or a comedy. Then, we see her in the Marvel Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and the horror comedy Renfield , with Nicolas Cage .
