BIOGRAPHY
Coming from a Jamaican mother and an English father, it is from the latter, an opera singer, that Antonia Thomas inherits a taste for art. In 2009, having just graduated in this field, the young woman landed the role of Alisha Daniels in Misfits . Along with Robert Sheehan , Lauren Socha , Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Iwan Rheon , she makes up the group of five misfits who develop superpowers after being struck by lightning. Her character, possessing that of sexual attraction, gradually matures over an arc of three seasons, at the end of which the actress decides to leave the series, aspiring to other horizons. She then rubbed shoulders with Emilia Clarke and Charlie Cox respectively in the comedies Spike Island and Hello Carter , before obtaining one of the main roles in the mini-series Homefront , portraying the courageous mothers and wives of soldiers engaged in the war in Afghanistan. Since 2012, the actress has combined her talents for music and dramatic art, notably appearing in the video clip for the title ” Charlie Brown ” by Coldplay . She opposite George MacKay in Dexter Fletcher ‘s musical , Sunshine on Leith ; appears as a jazz singer in two episodes of Fleming ; and plays the romantic interest of one of the protagonists who discovers a passion for soul , in Northern Soul .

In 2014, Antonia Thomas tackled her first international co-production thanks to her participation in an episode of the series Le Transporteur , adapted from the eponymous film saga by Luc Besson . In Lovesick , broadcast on Channel 4 then Netflix, she lends her features to Evie, best friend of Dylan ( Johnny Flynn ), who has just learned that he has contracted a sexually transmitted disease and has to see each of his exes again, in order to clarify the situation. The following year, the young woman joined the cast of the American-British blockbuster Survivor , starring Milla Jovovich and Pierce Brosnan . Building on her new visibility across the Atlantic, Antonia Thomas joins David Shore ‘s second medical series , after Dr House , for the ABC channel. In The Good Doctor, the actress plays the brilliant Dr. Claire Browne, feeling a particular attachment to surgeon Shaun Murphy ( Freddie Highmore ), who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome.
