Multi-Golden Globe Award-winning actor TomCruise shares his fame with many people, especially members of his family. Cruise has been in numerous tabloid-fodder relationships, some of which have produced children, including Isabella Jane Cruise (though not biological). Tom Cruise and his second wife, American actress Nicole Kidman, have adopted two children and Isabella Jane is one of them. Of all Cruise’s children, Isabella aka Bella is the lesser known. This is due to her penchant for living behind the cameras.

Who is Isabella Jane Cruise, Tom Cruise’s daughter?

Isabella Jane Cruise is an American clothing designer and makeup artist, best known for being the adopted daughter of famous American actors Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. She was born on December 22, 1992 in a hospital in Miami, Florida, from where Cruise and Kidman adopted her. Her biological mother, who already had two children, gave her up for adoption at birth for financial reasons.

Isabella’s early childhood was filled with comfort and luxury, albeit away from the public eye. She received her early education at home alongside her other siblings. Her tutor was her aunt (Tom Cruise’s sister), actress Cass Mapother. However, Bella was devastated after her parents’ marriage faltered in 2001 when she was just nine years old. However, she later developed a relationship with her father’s new wife, Katie Holmes, whom he married five years later. Unfortunately, after about six years (2006-2012), the marriage also faltered.

After her father’s third divorce, IsabellaJane Cruise moved to London to study art and then practice makeup and hairstyling. After completing her education, Jane Cruise began working as a hair and makeup artist, primarily in the showbiz industry. She has since worked on a number of films. Bella later started her own barber shop. In 2018, she founded the Bella Kidman Cruise (BKC) clothing line.

5 things you didn’t know about Isabella Jane Cruise

1. She has an adoptive brother

Isabella has a younger brother (also adopted) named Connor Antony Cruise. Connor was born on January 17, 1995. Isabella’s foster parents, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, adopted him after four months. Are you wondering why the second adoption? Nicole Kidman struggled with pregnancy. In order to cushion the trauma of her ugly experiences, she decided to adopt children in addition to her husband. The couple had plans to adopt more children before their union hits the rocks.

In addition to Connor, Isabella Jane Cruise has three half-sisters. The first is Suri Cruise, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ only child and daughter. Suri is also Cruise’s only biological child. The other two are Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, Nicole Kidman’s biological daughters. Kidman married popular country music artist Keith Urban a few years after his split from Cruise. While she gave birth Sunday, a surrogate carried Faith in her name.

2. How Scientology “saved” her life

Isabella had run into psychological issues like anxiety and depression following her parents’ divorce. In her long search for freedom and peace of mind, the popularly controversial religion of Scientology came to her aid. According to a statement by the young woman released by Scientology critic Tony Ortega, her experience with Scientology was all she needed – it all suddenly made sense.

Interestingly, Isabella is not only a follower of the religion, but an auditor – someone who guides other individuals through a self-examination session known as auditing in the Church of Scientology.

3. She’s not the only one who likes Scientology in her family

Tom Cruise is one of the great promoters of the Scientology religion. His now ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, had also converted to religion when she married Cruise. In fact, Tom is the one who introduced his adopted daughter to the mysterious faith. He would take Bella to Scientology congregation and summer camps along with her brother Connor after divorcing Nicole, who no longer follows the religion. Connor is also a staunch Scientologist. In addition, Bella’s birth mother is also a Scientology practitioner.

While testifying to her experience, Isabella thanked her father “for everything.” Her childhood aunt and tutor, Cass Mapother, is also a Scientologist. She also thanked her in her testimony. She also admired the leader of the church, David Miscavige, and its founder, the late Ron Hubbard.

4. Isabella sometimes stopped calling Nicole Kidman “mom.”

Several circumstances led to Nicole and Tom’s divorce (particularly related to her Scientology practice) which meant that Isabella severed all ties with her and no longer considered her a mother.

However, in 2016, Isabella met and reunited withher mother. She also began living with her in her new family alongside half-sisters Sunday and Faith. To affirm her forgiveness and acceptance of Nicole, she included her name in the clothing line (Bella Kidman Cruise) she launched two years later.

5. No family member attended her wedding!

In 2015, at the age of 22, Isabella Jane Cruise married Max Parker, a British IT consultant. The wedding, which surprised the media, took place on September 18. It was a secret Scientology ceremony at the opulent Dorchester Hotel in London.

Surprisingly, none of Isabella’s family members, including parents, attended the wedding. Although Nicole, her foster mother, was filming a role in London during this period, she was not present on the occasion. Tom, who is said to have funded the ceremony, was also nowhere near the venue. Isabella and Max had kept them away so as not to involve the media. Isabella and Max live in Croydon, London.
