₦1500 For Family Man? – APC Supporters Lament Poor Payment After Tinubu’s Campaign Rally

Some supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who were hired for the APC campaign rally have expressed displeasure over the low payment received after the day-long event.

In the video making the rounds online, the supporters claimed they were paid only ₦1,500 each after dancing and campaigning for the party all day.

Naija News reports that the men were captured wearing green APC campaign T-shirts bearing the image of President Bola Tinubu as they expressed frustration over the amount they were paid.

The men were also heard questioning what ₦1,500 was meant to cover after a full day of campaigning.

One of them was heard saying, “It’s okay, I follow do advertisement. One thousand five hundred naira for what? Family man?”

In other news, the Borno State Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation, Youth Empowerment and Sports, Saina Buba, has addressed his earlier remarks during a campaign inauguration event organised by the City Boy Movement.

Recalls that Buba had warned that those opposing the Babagana Zulum administration would face consequences.

He stated that the fingers of those who fail to support them would be cut off.

However, during a press briefing in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, on Monday, the commissioner said his remarks were not directed at the opposition.

He explained that he was directing the comments to All Progressives Congress (APC) members from the north-east who attended the programme, and not opposition members.

Buba lamented that his statement was twisted to create the impression that he was referring to opposition members.
