Transfer Updates: Minteh, Osimhen, Baleba, Savinho, Goretzka, Others

Liverpool have taken a step forward in their transfer interest in Brighton winger, Yankuba Minteh, after reaching a broad verbal agreement on personal terms with the 22-year-old.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Gambia international has given his approval to Liverpool’s project. However, negotiations between the clubs are still ongoing after Brighton rejected a second £60m bid.

If the Minteh deal falls through, Liverpool could turn their attention to Real Madrid youngster Endrick. The Times reports that the Reds have made enquiries about the Brazilian forward after his impressive loan spell at Lyon, although it remains unclear whether Madrid would be willing to let the 20-year-old leave again, either on loan or permanently.

Aston Villa are also exploring a major move in the transfer market. Matteo Moretto reports that the Midlands club are in talks to sign former Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, who became a free agent after leaving the German champions at the end of June.

Arsenal remain interested in Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, but Foot Mercato reports that the Gunners are unwilling to meet the Turkish club’s full demands. Mikel Arteta is believed to be a strong admirer of the Nigerian striker as Arsenal seek greater depth and competition for Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, are closing in on Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the 29-year-old has approved the proposed move, with both clubs now working on the final details of a deal that could see him join on loan with a long-term option.

Leeds United are among several clubs monitoring Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk. Talksport reports that the Ukraine international could leave Stamford Bridge on loan after being cleared to resume his playing career.

Manchester United have also made a significant move in the market after agreeing a deal with Brighton for midfielder Carlos Baleba. ESPN reports that the Cameroon international is set to join the Old Trafford club for an initial £65m, with a further £5m in add-ons.

Tottenham Hotspur have finally reached a transfer agreement with Manchester City for Savinho after a long pursuit. ESPN claims Spurs will pay an initial £75m for the 22-year-old Brazilian winger, with up to £10m more in performance-related add-ons.

Manchester City are already lining up a potential replacement. ESPN reports that the club have held talks with Palmeiras over winger Allan Elias, while Foot Mercato claims an agreement has now been reached between the two clubs, with personal terms also settled.

Chelsea could soon receive an approach from Aston Villa for striker Nicolas Jackson. The Telegraph reports that the Blues value the Senegal international at around €65m and would prefer a permanent sale rather than another temporary move.

In Germany, Stuttgart have rejected a €22m transfer bid from Galatasaray for Bilal El Khannouss. Foot Mercato reports that the Bundesliga side are demanding a figure closer to €60m for the midfielder.

Tottenham could also face a setback in their pursuit of Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Muñoz. Football Insider reports that the Colombia international is having second thoughts about a move to North London.

Elsewhere, Bayer Leverkusen winger Ernest Poku has agreed personal terms with Fiorentina ahead of a possible move to Serie A, Nicolo Schira reports.
