Terrorists Parade Abducted Women In Viral Video

Terrorists have paraded two young women abducted over a month ago in a disturbing video circulating on social media.

The victims, who appeared visibly traumatised and exhausted, were seen crying and pleading with the public and authorities to secure their release.

In the footage, the women looked distressed, their clothes dirty and faces swollen from prolonged hardship in captivity.

They repeatedly cried out, “Please help us. Help us out,” struggling to contain their emotions as they addressed the camera.

At one point, an armed man speaking in Hausa was heard taunting the captives, urging them to speak louder about their situation, apparently coercing them to describe their ordeal.

Aisha Al-Mustapha, a teacher who shared the video on 𝕏, identified one of the women as her friend, Maryam.

She disclosed that Maryam was abducted while travelling from Zamfara State to Sokoto State to resume school.

She said, “My friend Maryam has been in captivity for the past month. Her only sin was travelling to go to school from Zamfara to Sokoto.

“It really pains me how banditry has been normalised and human beings are being priced like animals.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the abduction remain unclear, but the women are believed to have been held for over a month by criminals operating across forested areas straddling Zamfara and Sokoto states.

The incident has heightened concerns over rising insecurity in the North-West region, particularly in Zamfara and Sokoto states, where banditry, mass abductions and attacks on communities have become frequent.

Residents have continued to express frustration over persistent kidnappings targeting students, commuters and rural dwellers.

Despite repeated assurances from security agencies and government officials, many communities in the region still face daily threats from heavily armed criminal gangs operating with relative impunity.
