‘I No Small’ – Stanley Ontop Reacts To Frederick Leonard’s Defamation Petition

Nollywood filmmaker cum media personality, Stanley Ontop, has responded to his colleague, Frederick Leonard, over a defamation petition against him.

Naija News reported Frederick filed a petition against Stanley Ontop over alleged defamation of character.

Naija News reports that the petition, dated January 28, 2026, was sent to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s lawyers, Uche Okoro & Co.

In the document, the actor accused Stanley Ontop of making repeated statements that damaged his reputation without any provocation for more than two years.

Leonard also claimed that the filmmaker had been spreading stories that painted him in a bad light, which he said had created a wrong public image about him.

He maintained that the actions were deliberate and harmful to his personal and professional life.

The actor later made the petition public by sharing it on his Instagram page on Monday.

In his post, Leonard warned that he was ready to pursue the matter legally and would ensure that those involved were held accountable.

In response, Stanley Ontop in a post via his Instagram page stated that he is waiting for the police invitation and ready to meet Frederick in court.

He wrote, “See y’all in court. I’m waiting for the police invitation. Ontop no small.”
