‘I Brought Tinubu’s Infinity Cap In Case You Are Thinking Of Joining APC’ – Sule Woos Gov Fintiri

There was mild political drama on Monday during the presentation of a book titled “Fintiri, the Man They Could Not Stop”, as Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, openly courted Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the event, Governor Sule said he came prepared with a “Tinubu infinity cap” for Fintiri, should he consider defecting from the opposition to the APC.

In what appeared to be a mix of light-hearted persuasion and political overture, Sule said Fintiri’s actions and values reflect those of the APC.

Sule said, “You have the APC in your DNA. We’re on the same page with you. I have brought a Tinubu’s infinity cap in case you’re thinking of joining the APC.”

He further referenced APC’s recent strategic political movements across several states.

The Nasarawa Governor further stated, “Your Excellency, the governor, you have seen us going to Delta, Enugu, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Kano, Plateau, and Taraba States. And who knows, this may be an expedition that I’m coming to do.”

On a more serious note, Governor Sule reflected on the demands of leadership, especially in a second term, urging Fintiri to stay focused on purposeful governance.

“As a governor in my second term, I understand the weight of leadership. I understand the loneliness of decision-making, and I understand the courage it takes to govern with conviction and pressure.

“Leadership is not about popularity at all costs. It is about clarity of purpose, consistency in service, patience, and fear of God,” he said.
