Antoine Griezmann Named 2025 Golden Foot Winner In Monaco

French forward, Antoine Griezmann has been honoured with the 2025 Golden Foot Award, adding another glittering milestone to an already decorated career.

Antoine Griezmann, 34, who remains a central figure at Atlético Madrid, was announced as this year’s winner in Monaco earlier today, November 28.

The Golden Foot, awarded to outstanding players aged 28 and above, recognises both achievement and personality. It is also unique because it can only be won once. Griezmann will now join football greats by leaving a permanent imprint of his footprints on the Champions Promenade in Monaco.

The organisers hailed his enduring influence on the sport, stating: “@AntoGriezmann is the Golden Foot Winner 2025! We are proud to honour one of the greatest talents of his generation. From Real Sociedad to FC Barcelona and now shining with @Atleti, Griezmann continues to write football history.

“A World Cup champion, Nations League winner, and one of the most iconic players, his impact on the game is undeniable. Griezmann won the 2025 Golden Foot ahead of a strong field of contenders that included Kylian Mbappé, Kevin De Bruyne, Angel Di María, Emiliano Martínez, Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembélé, Rodrigo De Paul and Thibaut Courtois.

His triumph places him alongside a long list of luminaries who have previously received the honour. Past winners include Roberto Baggio (2003), Ronaldo Nazário (2006), Ronaldinho (2009), Francesco Totti (2010), Zlatan Ibrahimović (2012), Didier Drogba (2013), Cristiano Ronaldo (2020), Mohamed Salah (2021) and Lautaro Martínez (2024). A women’s category was recently introduced, with Saki Kumagai becoming the first female winner.
