Real Madrid Coach, Xabi Alonso Ends Speculation Over Vinícius Júnior

Real Madrid boss Xabi Alonso has shut down talk of any rift involving Vinícius Júnior, insisting that everything has been resolved within the squad and that the Brazilian remains a key part of his plans.

Naija News reports that Vinícius publicly apologised to supporters, teammates, and club officials for his emotional outburst after being substituted during Sunday’s heated El Clásico against Barcelona. His apology helped calm speculation and reaffirmed his dedication to the club.

In comments shared by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Friday, Alonso cleared the air, saying, “There’s no Vini Jr case, it’s all clarified. Vini spoke in front of all of us on Wednesday, and he’s been fantastic. He’s been very honest and clear. Also, his statement has been powerful. The words he said to his teammates are the most important thing.”

The Real Madrid coach added that there would be no disciplinary action against the player. “Vinicius Jr will not be punished. The matter is closed,” Alonso confirmed. “He was impeccable in his speech in front of all of us.”

Alonso also addressed questions about young Brazilian forward Endrick, who has struggled for playing time since joining the team. “I would have liked Endrick to have had more minutes. But some circumstances need to be right,” he said.

Endrick is expected to go out on loan during the January transfer window, with Real Madrid already holding discussions with interested clubs.
