President Bola Tinubu has extended warm wishes to former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, on his 78th birthday, acknowledging his contributions to Nigeria’s democratic process and public service.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Sunday Dare, Tinubu highlighted Atiku’s active role in shaping Nigeria’s democracy since the return to civilian rule in 1999.
The President reminisced about the time they shared as founding members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), united in their mission to build a better future for Nigerians, as well as their spirited engagement as political opponents in the 2023 presidential election.
“Wazirin Adamawa has played a significant role in Nigeria’s democratic journey and continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to public service and philanthropy,” Tinubu said.
The President expressed his prayers for Atiku, wishing him good health and happiness in the years ahead.
