Ondo Election: APC’s Victory Signals Opposition Defeat In Future Polls – Oyintiloye
A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has hailed the party’s growing influence under President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on Monday, Oyintiloye predicted continued success for the APC in future elections, following its resounding victory in the Ondo State governorship poll.
As a member of the APC National Campaign Stakeholders Engagement Committee for the election, Oyintiloye extended his congratulations to the governor-elect, Lucky Ayedatiwa, emphasizing the party’s dominance at the polls.
Naija News reports that Ayedatiwa secured an overwhelming 366,781 votes, compared to the 117,845 garnered by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Agboola Ajayi.
Oyintiloye interpreted the result as a clear indication of the electorate’s trust in APC’s leadership and Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
“As it was predicted earlier that the massive votes that APC will receive during the election will shock opposition parties, especially PDP, it has been fulfilled.
“This landslide victory shows that the masses and the electorate in Ondo state still have faith in APC and President Tinubu’s administration.
“This is a strong signal that other states where opposition parties are governing will be delivered to APC by the electorate,” he said.
Reflecting on recent electoral successes in Edo and Ondo states, Oyintiloye expressed optimism about APC’s performance in upcoming off-cycle elections.
He cited the party’s growing strength under Tinubu’s presidency as a driving force behind these victories.
“From Kogi to Edo and now in Ondo. Anambra is waiting with Ekiti and Osun coming last to the general elections. APC has become stronger under Tinubu and the string of successes the party has been recording since the inception of Tinubu’s presidency is an indication that people still believe in the party and its leaders,” Oyintiloye said.
The APC Chieftain urged Ayedatiwa to adopt a magnanimous approach to governance and to focus on fulfilling campaign promises.
Oyintiloye also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a free, fair, and credible electoral process, while commending the peaceful conduct of the electorate.
