I Don’t Know If I Will Be In Charge Or Not – Eguavoen Laments Over Super Eagles’ Future
Augustine Eguavoen is currently assessing his role with the Super Eagles, with questions regarding his continued leadership beyond this year remaining open.
As the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Eguavoen successfully fulfilled his mandate of leading the Super Eagles to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
However, there are ongoing discussions within the NFF regarding the potential appointment of a foreign coach to take the helm of the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his future with the national squad ahead of the team’s clash with Rwanda, saying: “The World Cup is approaching, but I can’t say for certain if I will be in charge. Should I remain in this position, we have discussed the need to treat every match as a final and aim to win every game.”
