Neymar Gives Update On Latest Injury Woes
Al-Hilal forward Neymar has revealed that his doctor had warned him against playing for too long as he embarked on another recovery process.
Neymar, who is currently 32-year-old, experienced discomfort from a muscle injury just 30 minutes after coming off the bench during the second half of Al-Hilal’s AFC Champions League match against Esteghlal on Monday, November 4.
Upon sensing the issue, Neymar limped off the pitch and was subsequently substituted, marking a disappointing turn in what was meant to be a promising return to competitive football.
This match was particularly significant for Neymar, as it was only his second appearance of the season for Al-Hilal following his recovery from a serious anterior cruciate ligament injury that sidelined him for an entire season.
Before this match, expectations were high for his performance, especially given the star player’s storied history at clubs like Barcelona.
To update his followers on his condition, Neymar took to his Instagram story, expressing cautious optimism about his injury.
He wrote, “Hopefully nothing too much… It’s normal that after one year [out] this happens; the doctors had already warned me, so I have to be careful and play more minutes.”
