Rio Ferdinand Reveals Ideal Manchester United Starting Eleven
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has revealed his ideal starting eleven for the club when there are no injuries in the team.
Rio Ferdinand, who read out his ideal Manchester United starting lineup via his YouTube channel, included the likes of Andre Onana, Casemiro, and Jonny Evans in the lineup.
The former Manchester United defender left out Brazilian winger, Antony from his ideal starting lineup despite being one of the most expensive stars at the club.
This comes after the Red Devils’ recent 0-0 draw with Aston Villa in the Premier League, which left embattled coach Erik ten Hag’s side in 14th place after seven league matches.
While Ferdinand emphasized the importance of Evans’ experience in guiding young talent like Leny Yoro, the former England international said his ideal lineup would feature Dalot at right-back, with Yoro and Evans as the central defensive pairing.
In goal, Ferdinand highlighted Onana’s impressive performances, crediting the Cameroonian goalkeeper with keeping the team in numerous matches.
He also favoured Luke Shaw at left-back, Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro in midfield, and Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role.
Ferdinand’s attacking lineup consists of Marcus Rashford on the left wing, Alejandro Garnacho on the right, and Rasmus Højlund as the central striker.
