Bukayo Saka celebrates after scoring for Arsenal in their Premier League opener.

Nigerian-born English winger, Bukayo Saka has admitted that he is missing his former teammates at Arsenal, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Reiss Nelson.

Bukayo Saka also admitted that it was difficult to see them leave the Gunners this summer but expressed his confidence in their abilities to excel at their new clubs.

Recall that Emile Smith Rowe made a significant move to Fulham in a club-record deal worth £27 million after making 80 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, the club he had been a part of since the age of 10.

Reiss Nelson, who played 24 games for the Gunners last season, joined Smith Rowe at Craven Cottage on a season-long loan deal.

As for Eddie Nketiah, he completed a £30 million move to Crystal Palace on transfer deadline day after spending close to a decade at Arsenal and scoring 38 goals for the club.

Saka shared his sentiments about his fellow Hale End Academy graduates on the Men in Blazers podcast, highlighting the bond they shared and the support they provided to him when he first joined the club’s first team.

The 23-year-old England international said: “Yeah, I’m not going to lie, I’ve missed them a bit you know.

“Since I came into the first-team they were kind of like my big brothers with the way they welcome me and stuff like that.

“So yeah, it wasn’t easy to see them all go, but at the same time, I’m really happy for them because they’re three top, top players with so much quality and I’m sure they’re going to shine in the Premier League this year.”
