The Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has called for the end of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests.

Onyejeocha, while addressing newsmen in Abuja, urged protesters to halt their demonstrations, citing concerns over the recent loss of lives.

She emphasised President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to improving living conditions for Nigerians.

The minister said, “My heart goes out to those who lost their lives during the protests.

“It is quite unfortunate that these things have to happen this way. I plead that we should sheathe our swords, embrace peace, and stop at this moment.”

Onyejeocha reassured that President Tinubu has heard the public’s concerns and is actively working towards addressing them.

She urged protesters to trust the president’s efforts and support the government’s initiatives.

In a related development, President Bola Tinubu is set to address the nation in a broadcast on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.
