President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation in a broadcast on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 7:00 am.

Naija News reports that this was made known in a statement on Saturday evening by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

Tinubu’s media aide directed television, radio, and other electronic media outlets to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.

The broadcast will be repeated on the network services of the NTA and the FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day,” the statement added.

Naija News reports that many Nigerians have called on President Tinubu to address the nation following the massive #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest rocking the country.

Nigerians, since August 1st, have taken to the streets to protest hardship and hunger savaging the land.

The protest has seen clashes between protesters and security agents in many states especially in the North.

While some hoodlums have taken advantage to loot both government and private properties, security agents have shot at peaceful protesters and journalists.
