Popular Hotel Owner Dies Mysteriously In Kwara

The Managing Director of Water View Guest House, Ilorin, Kwara State capital, Adeniyi Ojo, died on Friday under suspicious circumstances.

Naija News learnt that the popular guest house owner in the state capital was found lying motionless on the bed in one of the rooms in the facility.

Confirming the death, spokesperson of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Ajayi Okasanmi, said a supervisor at the hotel, Kehinde Olaseinde, reported the case.

He said a team of detectives was dispatched to the scene, and the corpse was taken to the hospital, where Ojo was confirmed dead.

He was later deposited at the hospital mortuary.

Okasanmi added that the Commissioner of Police has ordered a discreet investigation of the case, and details will be available to the public.

He said, “The examination of the body shows no sign of physical violence. The body was taken to a hospital where he was confirmed dead and was deposited at the general hospital mortuary Surulere for an autopsy.

“Details of the investigation will be made public as soon as possible.”

Hoodlums Beat 35-Year-Old Bus Driver To Death

Meanwhile, the Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a commercial bus driver, Fwinbe Thomas, by hoodlums suspected to be motorcyclists, also known as Okada riders.

According to reports, the victim scratched a motorcycle rider with his vehicle while driving home after the close of work on Monday.

Angered by the incident, hoodlums, allegedly chased the driver with their motorcycles and attacked him along Tudun Wada Ring Road in Jos, leading to his death.

Confirming the incident in a statement, the police spokesperson, Alabo Alfred, condemned the killing, saying the deceased sustained multiple injuries on his head.
