Lagos Police Speaks On Arresting Blessing CEO

Controversial relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, has been granted N10 million bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, for alleged cyber-bullying.

Naija News reported the police had arraigned the self-proclaimed relationship and mental health expert last week Friday at a Federal High Court in Lagos on a six-count charge of alleged cyber-bullying, libel, and for exhibiting uncensored movies.

Justice Yelim Bogoro remanded her in prison till May 30 pending the hearing of her bail application.

According to SaharaReporters, Blessing’s counsel on Tuesday, April 4, filed a bail application before Justice Tijjani Ringim of the Federal High Court in Lagos on her behalf.

The publication added that the police did not oppose the bail application, instead, the police urged the court to use its discretion.

The judge granted Blessing bail in absence of opposition and was admitted to N10 million bail each with two sureties in like sum.

Recall that Bimbo, the wife of a Lagos celebrity auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, died last year in a fire incident at their residence in Lekki.

Blessing CEO was also accused of using Instagram to injure the reputation of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by exposing them to hatred, contempt, and ridicule.

The police further accused her of exhibiting a film and video work titled ‘Sweet Sour’ without a censorship certificate and without holding a license as issued by the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
