Popular Nollywood actor cum politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has alleged why the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refused to let candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tonye Cole, have access to the Certified True Copies of the governorship election results in Rivers state.

Naija News reports that Cole’s many attempts to get the election document was met with frustration.

Speaking earlier during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Cole said the violence unleashed on him, and Rivers APC members on Monday was a ploy to waste the party’s time regarding the election petition.

The APC candidate said his party had not received the expected cooperation from INEC as regards the election materials.

In a Twitter post on Tuesday, Okonkwo, who is the spokesman of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council, said Cole was denied access to the election materials because the election was rigged.

He alleged that the February 25th presidential election was rigged, and that was why INEC refused to give the Labour Party (LP) the CTC also.

“Tonye Cole of APC is being refused the CTC of the results of the Gubernatorial election of Rivers State by INEC because the election was rigged. The INEC refused to give the LP the CTC of the Feb. 25 presidential election because it rigged the election. What goes round comes round,” Okonkwo alleged on the microblogging platform.
