Vice President-Elect, Shettima Visits Mamman Daura (Photos)

The vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima on Saturday visited President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Mamman Daura at his residence.

Shettima who was the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded election confirmed this in a post on his Twitter account.

The former lawmaker described Daura as a father and former boss.

According to Shettima, Daura was his boss at the African International Bank (AIB) where he served as Head of the Corporate Banking Department, Kaduna Branch while Daura was Chairman of the Board.

The visit of the vice president-elect to President Buhari’s nephew is coming days after he visited former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Alhaji Abubakar.

The former governor of Borno State met the leaders at their Uphill Residences in Minna, Niger state capital.

Shettima in a post on his Twitter account on Saturday wrote, “I paid a courtesy visit to my father and former boss, Malam Mamman Daura (Durbin Daura).

“My relationship with Malam goes back nearly three decades when I worked with the African International Bank (AIB) as Head of the Corporate Banking Department, Kaduna Branch, where he was Chairman of the Board. Allah ya kara ma Baba lafiya, ameen.”
