Ganduje Sold Kano Govt Properties To His Cronies – Kwankwaso

The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State of selling public properties to his cronies.

Naija News reports that the former Governor of Kano made the allegation while speaking in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service on Friday.

He claimed that the Ganduje administration was a charade, alleging that some of the public properties sold by the current administration included graveyards, and schools, among others.

Kwankwaso also assured that the incoming Kabir Abba Yusuf-led administration would soon right the wrongs allegedly committed by the Ganduje administration so that the good people of Kano would have some respite.

He also commended the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate and the Deputy Governor, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna,  for conceding defeat and congratulating the Governor-elect.

“That’s what’s expected. He has shown a good example in the spirit of sportsmanship,” he said.

Kwankwaso, however, assured that he would not interfere in the incoming administration, but promised to guide and give advice where necessary.

APC Manipulated Outcome Of 2023 Election, Presidential Polls Not Credible – Kwankwaso

Meanwhile, Kwankwaso has accused the ruling APC of manipulating the outcome of the general elections in some states, especially the presidential election.

The former Kano State governor and Senator slammed President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the President did not do enough to provide for free, fair, and credible polls.

Kwankwaso, who is the National Leader of the NNPP, stated this on Thursday, in Abuja, at the first post-2023 election meeting of the party’s National Executive Council (NEC).

He noted that in civilized countries of the world, with the level of alleged vote buying, the use of guns to intimidate the people, and the level of irregularities recorded, the elections would have been canceled.
