Anthony Joshua’s trainer, Derrick James has insisted that he doesn’t care how the Nigerian-born British boxer defeats American boxer Jermaine Franklin on Saturday.

On the said day, Anthony Joshua’s trainer will be in the Briton’s corner as he tries to stage a strong comeback in the heavyweight category.

The two times world heavyweight champion who has not fought since his back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, is expected to gain some reckoning at the O2 Arena on Saturday night against Franklin.

Naija News recalls that due to his recent form which saw him record three defeats in his last five fights, Joshua left his loved ones in London and flew to the United States to train at James’ Boxing Gym in Dallas.

After a rigorous training session away from him, Anthony Joshua and his new trainer, Derrick James returned to the UK on March 16 ahead of the April 1 bout.

Ahead of the much-anticipated bout, Anthony Joshua’s trainer said he doesn’t care whether the Briton chose to win the bout through knockout or any other form, all he cares about is seeing his client win.

He said, “I learned a lot about Anthony from his dedication and the fact he is always a student. He always wants more, wants more, and wants more. I think this Saturday it will be a night that we show everything we’ve been working on.

“I think that Jermaine Franklin is a very tough fighter. For me, I don’t really care how we get it, I just care that we get it. I think that if it gets to a point where I can see it, then I’ll be like, ‘let’s go get it’.

“Initially, it’s just going in there and all about winning the fight regardless of how he wins. I don’t care about that. I just care that he comes out victorious. If I see the knockout, let’s go get him. If he’s ready to be taken, let’s take him I’ll tell him.”
