Video: Crowd Gathers As Portable Is Taken To Prison After Court Ruling

The Nigerian singer behind the arrest of controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has identified himself.

Naija News reported earlier that men of the Nigeria Police Force in Ogun State stormed Portable’s bar in a bid to arrest him on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

In a viral video online, Portable claimed that some internet fraudsters were the ones that brought the officers to the club to make the arrest. On the other hand, the officers in the viral video said they received a petition against the singer and were at his bar to arrest him.

Hours after the development which has attracted a series of comments on social media, an upcoming artist and former signee to Portable’s record label, Manny Monie, acknowledged that he was behind the singer’s recent problems.

In a viral video on social media, Manny Monie revealed that he wrote a petition to the police demanding Portable’s arrest.

He further disclosed that Portable refused to respond to the petition after three months.

Naija News recalls that an incident happened in November 2022 where Portable allegedly assaulted Manny Monie, for allegedly using another distributor.

Also, Portable claimed that he makes millions of naira in the studio in days but that he was shocked after returning from a month’s trip to meet sales of only N7,000.
