Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi hopes to help Nigeria defeat Guinea Bissau in Bissau today by scoring a goal against the Wild Dogs.

Naija News recalls that Terem Moffi was an unused substitute when Guinea Bissau stunned the Super Eagles 1-0 at MKO Abiola national stadium in Abuja on Friday.

The Nigerian players have the chance to redeem themselves in the return leg at 5 PM this evening by beating Guinea Bissau away from home to return to the top of the AFCON Group A qualification table.

One of the star strikers that could help Nigeria bounce back from Friday’s home defeat is Moffi.

Note that the in-form OGC Nice striker was one of the Super Eagles’ heroes when Nigeria beat Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 in their second qualification game in June 2022. Terem Moffi scored twice in the game.

Hence, coach Jose Peseiro who has led the Super Eagles of Nigeria to four successive defeats might want to bank on the goalscoring prowess of the 23-year-old striker.

Moffi is currently one of the hottest strikers in Europe as he has scored 15 goals and provided an assist in 24 French Ligue 1 games this season.

Ahead of the Guinea Bissau Vs Nigeria return leg today, Moffi said, “Yes I scored two goals against Sao Tome, but this is in the past now, we are all looking forward to the game in Bissau on Monday (today) and hopefully I get some game time and try to help the team win the game and score goals as well”.
