Shehu Sani Reacts As Tinubu Meets UAE Leadership Over Visa Ban, Others

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Sani, has said sponsors of election rigging cannot claim that they won their elections with the backing of God.

Naija News reports that Sani was reacting to comments by some All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts who had called on the opposition to accept the outcome of the presidential poll as the will of God.

In a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday, Sani said power derived from a rigged election is not from God and should not be celebrated.

The former lawmaker also slammed politicians who engage in vote buying and manipulation of election results by bringing in religion to launder and legitimise their evil actions.

He wrote: “After they buy votes, falsified figures, and rigged elections, they will bring in religion to launder and legitimise their evil; and want you to believe that power is from God”.
