Adamawa Govt Reviews 24 Hour Curfew, Gives Fresh Directive

The Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed confidence about emerging victorious at the 2023 governorship election in the state.

Fintiri who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the election said he is not worried about the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to suspend the collation of results from the March 18 polls.

Naija News recalls INEC had on Monday evening, declared the 2023 governorship election in Adamawa State inconclusive. The election was declared inconclusive by INEC due to the margin of the votes between the two leading contestants after the results had been collated.

However, speaking about the development, Governor Fintiri expressed confidence that the people of Adamawa will vote for him and God will support him to emerge victorious at the polls.

He said during an interview with the BBC Hausa Service monitored by our correspondent on Wednesday: “We are waiting for when the election would be concluded and a winner declared.“

History Will Be Repeated In My Favour

Fintiri narrated that the suspension of collation was not new to him as it had happened before, adding that at the end of the process, he would be declared the winner.

” This time around Allah will. repeat the history in my favour. The Adamawa people will decide and vote for me massively. I’m certain I will have majority votes by the grace of Allah. I’m not perturbed, I believe in Almighty Allah who will ensure the right time that I will be declared winner,” he prayed.
