Sanwo-Olu Defeats Rhodes-Vivour, Jandor, Wins Lagos Gubernatorial Election

The Governor of Lagos State and gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has emerged victorious in the state governorship election.

The incumbent Governor defeated Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The election which was marred by intimidation and voter suppression, saw Sanwo-Olu win almost all local governments in the South-West state.

Sanwo-Olu garnered 762, 134 votes to defeat his Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour , and Dr. Olajide Adediran of the PDP.

Rhodes-Vivour polled 312329 votes, while Adidran scored 62449 votes.
