BREAKING: Protesters Hit Kano Streets, Defy Police Order

There are unsettling situations in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, as Protesters take to the streets to protest the outcome of the state’s governorship elections.

The subsequent announcements of results has caused traffic jams in the state capital.

According to reports obtained in the state capital, one person was allegedly killed, while several others sustained varying degrees of injury as a result of the state’s violent protest.

Protesters have taken to the street to express their dissatisfaction with the governorship results declared by the electoral umpire following the state’s gubernatorial election last Saturday.

According to eyewitnesses, the protesters also engaged in vandalism and destruction of public and private property.

Meanwhile, security forces have been deployed in strategic locations to prevent the violent protest from spreading and to maintain law and order.

The incident has raised concerns and prompted calls for transparent elections in Nigeria, as well as an appeal to the relevant authorities to address the underlying issues that sparked the protest.
